The INNOVATION CIRCLE is a forum for representatives of Greek innovation companies to meet and exchange views and experiences.
The INNOVATION CIRCLE aims to:
- Promote innovation in Greece and its integration as a component of enhancing Greece’s attractiveness as an investment destination.
- Encourage state bodies to take into account the positions, views and proposals of innovation companies.
- Foster contact between Greek innovation companies and foreign companies in Greece, as well as with potential investors.
- Facilitate the exchange of common concerns and opinions between members.
Dinner meetings are held once a month, with the participation of an official guest each time.
⌟ Aims of the CIRCLE
The INNOVATION CIRCLE is a forum for representatives of innovation companies in Greece to exchange opinions and information with a view to:
- Promote innovation in Greece and its integration as a component of enhancing Greece’s attractiveness as an investment destination.
- Encourage state actors to take into account the positions, views and proposals of innovation companies.
- Foster contact between Greek innovation companies and foreign companies in Greece, as well as potential investors.
- Share common concerns and opinions between members.
⌟ Activities
The members of the INNOVATION CIRCLE meet once a month (except in August) at a dinner starting at 20:30 and ending at 22.30.
Three types of dinner meetings are organized to serve the goals of the CIRCLE:
- Dinners where CIRCLE members welcome a public figure.
- Thematic dinners, with an expert invited.
- Dinners exclusively between members on a matter of common interest.
Discussions are conducted under Chatham House Rules.
The members of the CIRCLE are committed to complying with the rules of business ethics and competition law.
Participation in the CIRCLE is strictly personal and no representation of a member by another person is permitted.
Special care is taken in choosing the members of the CIRCLE, so that no industry is over-represented.
A dedicated website is available to CIRCLE members to facilitate direct contacts, particularly through the Who’s Who of members.
⌟ CIRCLE operation
The INNOVATION CIRCLE is organized by Public Affairs & Networks, which:
- Draws up and submits a program of activities.
- Invites guests and organizes dinners.
- Works with members to organize discussions in the context of monthly dinners.
- Proposes new members.
- Provides secretarial support.
⌟ Membership
INNOVATION CIRCLE members should be representatives of innovation companies in Greece.
All nationalities, as well as all sectors, are admitted to the CIRCLE.
Admission to the CIRCLE is based on the principle of each new member being proposed by two already active members to ensure the coherence of the CIRCLE and to maintain the privacy of the group. In this way, members’ freedom of expression is secured, and over-representation of any industry is avoided.
The membership is strictly personal. If a member leaves, this does not automatically mean that a new member will be admitted, and any new member will have to be proposed by two existing members.
Participation in the CIRCLE is strictly personal and no representation of a member by another person is permitted.
⌟ Annual membership fee
The fee for attending the CIRCLE is €1,500 per year.
This amount is paid to Public Affairs & Networks to cover the costs of preparation, organization, coordination and secretarial support.
⌟ CIRCLE Rules
The CIRCLE belongs to its members, and success and fulfillment of its purposes depend on the personal involvement, commitment and involvement of its members.
For this reason, the members of the CIRCLE undertake to:
- Participate actively in CIRCLE meetings. A loose rule sets minimum participation in CIRCLE meetings at 50-60%.
- Get actively involved in the coordination of meetings.
- Propose potential new members and guide them on their first steps in the CIRCLE.
